wed / diy embossed napkins

I pinned this DIY image a long long time ago and unfortunately the link doesn't work anymore. That said, this wedding project looks beyond simple. Buy basic cocktail napkins in your colors, order an embosser, (open some wine and put on a fun movie), and stamp away!

One tip from my wedding experience: make more napkins than you think you need and keep a stash for yourself! Guests usually go through more napkins than you expect and it's better to have too many than too few.

I'd love to see the results if anyone tries this!

listen / tove lo

I can't get this song out of my head. That is all.

What's stuck in your head?

quote / soul mates

I may have posted this before and I know it's a little cheesy, but it's so true. A and I celebrate a whole year together this week and I couldn't resist being super-duper mushy.

Have a great week!

decorate / boston brownstone

I love interiors and I especially love when I come across one in Boston. I feel a closer connection to the space; maybe I've met the inhabitants if only in passing or maybe I've admired the exterior of the building. This "gorgeously layered Boston brownstone" caught my eye on Pinterest and I feel like I could move in tomorrow. My favorite elements are the textured or patterned neutrals layered with pops of color. I tend to choose more neutral paint colors and invest in more neutral furniture and then accessorizing in color. Any interiors catching your attention lately?

wed / capri

{source}

I'll be honest...I have no idea who Erica Pelosini and Louis Leeman are. But when I saw their Capri wedding on The Coveteur I stopped in my tracks. Never have I seen a wedding so untraditional in the BEST way. Every single detail of the weekend from the clothes to the setting so clearly is reflective of who the bride and groom are, regardless of the "right" way of doing things.

The lesson here is screw tradition! Do what feels right whether that means a short wedding dress, fruit on the tables instead of flowers, or riding to the ceremony on a mini construction truck.

If you're married or planning a wedding, what did you do/are you planning that's outside the box? I would love to hear new ideas!
