wear / jcrew pima tee

Please forgive me for the huge silence over here. It has been a very challenging month at work and I’m doing my best just to hang on with work and taking care of myself so I don’t get run down. I’m hoping to be back to regular posting next week!

In the meantime, I wanted to share a t-shirt that has become a recent obsession of mine. My wardrobe is largely built on solid basics with some special pieces mixed in for interest. I found this pocket tee at JCrew on the sale rack almost a month ago and it’s on sale online with extra 40% off! I bought it grey and it was so soft and comfy that I went back for the black one.

I love dressing it up or down and the high-low hemline plus lower neckline makes it perfect. If you don’t see your size or color online, don’t forget to call a store to see if they can hunt one down for you! It runs true to size with a loose/boxy fit.

Ya’ll the last 10 days have been brutal! I’m so sorry for the radio silence over here. In the meantime, I’m daydreaming about a vacation somewhere like this:

weekend / toronto

I am so sad this little blog fell by the wayside this week. It’s truly been a challenging week. I LOVE my job, but whew!

A and I are headed to Toronto to see his family and some friends and I can’t wait to get a little quality time, shopping, and relaxing in. Plus I get to see the city through his eyes…and who can forgot good poutine?

No links this week, but have a good weekend!

wed / art deco cakes

I have noticed a trend in my recently Pinterest likes: art deco wedding cakes. There are no words; just gorgeous pictures. Bon apetit!

wear / classic outfit inspired by louis vouitton

While casually flipping through InStyle Magazine recently, I happened about the beautiful Louis Vouitton ads featuring Michelle Williams. I was, of course, taken by the bag itself, but it was Michelle’s head to toe look that really won me over.

I would recreate the look with messy waves in my hair, “diamond studs”, a red lip, white button down, light jeans, nude pumps, and Essie Bordeaux nail polish. What looks are you drawn to lately?
