wed / how to brand your wedding part 3

So far in our How to Brand Your Wedding series, we've covered pre-wedding items such as invitations and ceremony items and now it's on to the reception, specifically dinner.
Escort cards:

Place cards if you're being extra fancy! How cool are these agate slabs?

Menus at each place setting are a perfect place to get creative:

Table numbers (easily visible and legible, please):

(I actually was an intern and helped with this wedding!)

And something special to personalize the bride and groom's chairs:

wed / how to brand your wedding part 1

Wedding branding has become more a necessity and less a trend recently. With Pinterest and wedding blogs steadily offering ideas and examples, it seems like more and more couples are branding their wedding whether or not they are working with a designer. A couple weeks ago I went searching on the interwebs for a list of all the items that might be branded for the big day. I didn't have any luck, so I compiled a list of my own!

The list got pretty long, so I am going to divide it up. First are all of the pre-wedding items...

Save the dates:

Invitations (including the invitation, reception card, direction card, and response card):

And a welcome bag and tag or card:

Next week I'll share a list of items you may want to include for the ceremony.

Happy #weddingwednesday!

wed / wedding branding

Awesome wedding idea alert!! Last night I was poking around online looking for wedding branding ideas and wedding branding guides and stumbled upon a new website called Violet. Violet "is an online service that helps you create your own wedding style, complete with a custom logo and professional Style Guide." Currently the site is in Beta and I can't wait to see what comes next!

Naturally I immediately made an account so I could test drive the site. They have more than a dozen styles to work with ranging from modern to classic to rustic. First you fill out a quick profile about you, your date, and (my favorite) your love story in a tweet! Then you can choose some inspiration photos or upload your own, choose colors, customize the logo, include a style statement, and then download a style guide!! I love seeing all the design details come together just like a professional branding sheet. Here's one I made for fun:

I think this is an amazing tool for couples who want a cohesive look and feel to the wedding, but either don't have the budget for custom design or don't have the time to delve so far into the process. I can't wait to see how the site grows and evolves!

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Violet; I just am excited about the brand!
